Corporate Developments

In June 2003 TOBIN Consulting Engineers and Grontmij Consulting Engineers agreed to redefine their relationship with and ownership of TES Consulting Engineers. The relationship is now defined by a Strategic Alliance between TOBIN, Grontmij and TES whereby the parties will continue to co-operate on specific projects in the waste, water and spatial planning sectors. TES is now a wholly owned subsidiary of TOBIN.

Several new directors of TES have been appointed to reflect these changes. Arjen Brinkman, MD of Grontmij's Waste Management Consultancy and previously an Associate of TES, joins the TES board. Damien Grehan, also an Associate Director of TES has also been appointed to the board, as has Brian Downes; Brian is a director of TOBIN and manages TOBIN's Limerick office

Personnel

TES has appointed five new Project Managers; Dermot Burke, Morgan Burke, Mark Conroy, Caoimhe Muldoon and Padraic Mulroy all have extensive experience in managing multi-discipliniary EIS for a range of facilities in the waste management, extractive industries and wind energy sectors.

Daniel Duggan has joined TES and TOBIN as Group Engineering Geologist. With an extensive background in construction and earthworks contracting, Daniel was ideally placed to co-ordinate the team of geologists and engineers acting for Mayo County Council regarding recent landslide events in Glengad in North Mayo.

Consultants

Anne Butler, Chartered Engineer, is a former director of the Environmental Protection Agency ( EPA ) and joins TES as a Senior Consultant. Anne provides high level strategic and project specific advice and brings considerable expertise in the waste management sector to TES, having been responsible for waste licencing at the EPA.
